The 4 Special Forces Command of the Nigerian Army has taken a significant step towards strengthening its administrative capacity and improving personnel welfare with the commissioning of a newly renovated Garrison Headquarters at the Nigerian Army Cantonment in Doma, Nasarawa State.
The renovated facility is expected to provide a more conducive working environment for personnel while boosting administrative efficiency and supporting the operational effectiveness of the Command.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, the Commander, 4 Special Forces Command, Major General Olurotimi Awolo, described the project as a major milestone in the Command’s ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure and enhance the welfare of its personnel.
Major General Awolo commended the Garrison Commander, Brigadier General David Nwakonobi, for his commitment to troop welfare, infrastructural development and the judicious utilisation of available resources.
He urged personnel to take ownership of the facility by ensuring its proper maintenance and effective utilisation, stressing that the improved infrastructure should translate into greater administrative and operational efficiency.
The Garrison Commander, 4 Special Forces Command Garrison, Doma, Brigadier General David Nwakonobi, expressed appreciation to the Commander and other stakeholders for their support towards the renovation project.
He said the intervention had transformed the Headquarters, improving its appearance, functionality and overall working conditions for personnel.
The Commander also acknowledged the strategic guidance and continued support of the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu (NAM), to the 4 Special Forces Command.
The commissioning marks another milestone in the Command’s efforts to improve infrastructure and create an environment capable of supporting effective administration, personnel welfare and sustained military operations.
