A total of four hundred and twenty-five graduates of the Bayelsa State Polytechnic, Aleibiri, received National Diploma and Higher National Diploma certificates at the institution’s maiden combined convocation ceremony.
At the event held in Aleibiri, Ekeremor Local Government Area, Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri, commended the support of Tertiary Education Trust Fund towards the growth of tertiary education in the state and announced fresh approvals for infrastructure and transportation upgrades in the institution.
Graduating students, parents, and dignitaries gathered to celebrate the milestone of four hundred and thirteen National Diploma and Higher National Diploma graduates.
Governor Douye Diri, who serves as Visitor to the institution, reiterates his administration’s commitment to education, promises to collaborate with education partners to make the institution more befitting for students and staff.
Rector of the Polytechnic, Wisdom Soreh, described the maiden convocation as a defining moment in the school’s history and appreciates the state government for its continuous support toward infrastructural and academic development.
Governor Diri announced the approval of two coaster buses, fencing of the institution, and assessment of internal roads and other infrastructure within the campus.
