Nigerian Ambassador to Egypt, Nura Abba Rimi says they have successfully moved stranded students evacuated from Sudan across the Arqeel border into Egypt.
Rimi said the priority was given to female students in the orderly movement of the 449 students across the border.
According to the Ambassador, the students are now being prepared for their departure to Abuja through the Aswan Airport.
Meanwhile, an Air Peace plane has left Nigeria for Egypt to airlift the evacuated students back home. They are expected to arrive at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja on Wednesday.
