50-Year-Old Father Impregnates 17-Year-Old Daughter In Bauchi

BAUCHI

The Bauchi State Police Command says a 50-year-old man, Umar Sule of Ganjuwa Local Government Area of Bauchi State has been arrested for alleged rape of his 17-year-old biological daughter.

A statement issued by the Bauchi State Police Command spokesman, Ahmed Wakili, said sometime in November 2024, one Alhaji Umar Sule, aged 50 years, was alleged to have had sexual intercourse with his biological daughter aged 17 in his matrimonial home on different occasions.

Police said, during investigation, the suspect willingly admitted his wrongdoing, and that he had molested the daughter several times on different occasions, which led to her three months pregnancy, as confirmed by a medical practitioner.

Police said while interviewing the victim, she confirmed the suspect’s statements, adding that the incident happened when her mother travelled to visit her parents.

Police say, investigation is ongoing.

The Commissioner of Police, Bauchi State Command Sani-Omolori Aliyu, has directed that the case be charged to court after the investigation.
