The troops of the Joint Task Force Northwest Operation Hadarin Daji, have rescued six hostages from two local government areas of Zamfara State during a clearance operation.
They also recovered eleven operational vehicles from fleeing bandits at Gidan Jaja, in Zurmi Local Government Area of the state.

The troops have continued to intensify operations against the bandits, rescuing several kidnap victims, and recovering weapons and other equipment in Zamfara, Kebbi, Katsina, and Sokoto States.

A top military source said that acting on an actionable intelligence report on the massing of bandits at Gidan Jaja in Zurmi LGA of Zamfara State, troops deployed at Forward Operating Base, Zurmi, immediately mobilised for afighting patrol to the general area to dislodge the bandits who fled in disarray with possible gunshot wounds.
11 motorcycles were recovered from the fleeing bandits. In a similar development, troops deployed at Forward Operating Base, Anka, in Zamfara State, rescued four kidnap victims
All the rescued victims have been successfully reunited with their families.
