Fifty-four-year old American rapper and music producer, Shawn Carter known by the stage name, Jay Z has taken a swipe at the Recording Academy, the organiser of the annual Grammy Awards.
The 24-time Grammy winner while receiving the “Dr Dre Global Impact Award” at the 66th edition of the Grammys held on Sunday, February 4, 2024 in Los Angeles called out the Academy for snubbing his wife Beyonce in the “Album Of The Year Category.”
The Young Forever singer, Jay Z said Beyonce has won more Grammys in history than anyone but has never won in the “Album Of The Year Category.”
On the day however, 29-year-old U.S singer and songwriter, Phoebe Bridgers was the biggest winner with four trophies while Taylor Swift made history as the first artist to win the Album Of The Year four times.
The 66th Grammy Awards hosted by South African comedian actor and television host, Trevor Noah was held at the Crypto.Com Arena, Los Angeles California United States.
