Out of the 56 victims of Sunday’s pipeline explosion at Abule-Ado who were rushed to the Nigeria Navy Reference Hospital Satellite Town Lagos for treatment, 8 of the patients are still on admission receiving treatment.
Commander, Navy Reference Hospital, Abubakar Aliyu made this known on Tuesday when he briefed newsmen on the conditions of the patients.
Most of the 56 victims rushed to the emergency ward of the hospital were treated for minor injuries and discharged.
In all, 6 persons were brought in dead and their bodies deposited at the morgue while 2 cases were referred to the General Hospital for further treatment.
Out of the remaining 8 patients now on admission at the Naval Hospital, only one is a student, while another one-year old is in the Intensive Care Unit

AIT crew later visited some of the patients at the various wards where they shared their experiences on that fateful day.
The patients according to the Hospital Commander were treated free of charge and would be discharged immediately they recover.
