Eight young Sierra Leonean footballers, from the lower league clubs and non-division teams in Makeni in the Bombali district, northern province, have been killed in accident in Sierra Leone.
Also killed in the gruesome road accident was a community Coach.

Seven of the players and the coach died instantly while the eighth player was pronounced dead last night.
Other players who sustained injuries, were reported to be in critical condition in the hospital.
The players and coach were returning home from a community football gala in a neighbouring village Batkanu in the Karene district, when the mini bus they were travelling in, had a head-on collision with a truck carrying tuber crops to Freetown just outside Makeni.
