Former governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello

Former governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello is present in court as the trial court is set to hear the suit on fraud allegations preferred against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Bello is facing a nineteen count charge bordering on fraud before Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court in Maitama.

He was however granted bail to the tune of 500 million naira and two sureties in like sum.

The former Kogi governor is also facing a similar charge of 16 counts before the Federal Capital Territoy High Court.

He is also currently enjoying bail granted him by the trial judge, Justice Maryann Anenih to the tune of 500 million naira and three sureties in like sum.
