Former president, Goodluck Jonathan has commenced peace initiatives as some opposition parties demand the cancellation of the presidential election amid the collation of results.

Jonathan led other West African elders’ forum members to visit four major presidential candidates, including Peter Obi, Atiku Abubakar, Bola Tinubu, and Rabiu Kwamkwaso.

The delegation comprised of former presidents of Ghana, John Mahama, Boni Yayi of Benin Republic, Ernest Koroma of Sierra Leone, and Uhuru Kenyatta from Kenya among others.

The delegation at each of their meetings sued for peace in the interest of the country.
