Katsina State in North-West Nigeria has recorded 2 cases of Lassa fever resulting in one death while the other is currently on admission.
Executive secretary of the State primary health care development agency, Dr. Shamsudeen Yahaya stated this during a media briefing.
He says, the positive cases emanated from the initial 7 suspected cases as 4 of the victims tested negative while 2 tested positive with one result pending.
Yahaya further said, the 2 victims who tested positive travelled to Bauchi state recently
