A 28-year-old suspected terrorist, Suleiman Iliyasu, has confessed to killing over 15 persons in different attacks he partook in, across the terrorist-prone local government areas of Katsina State.

According to him, the suspect has participated in several armed robberies, kidnappings and cattle rustling across the state, before his eventual arrest.

The 28-year-old suspect, Suleiman Iliyasu, confessed to having been a foot soldier under the mentorship of a notorious and one of the most wanted terrorist kingpins, “Dankarami”, who has been terrorising Katsina, Zamfara, Kaduna, Kebbi and Sokoto States.

Iliyasu during his confessions disclosed that he has been involved in terrorism for the past three years, and has participated in several attacks carried out in Sabuwar Dandume, Faskari, Jibia, Batsari, and Kurfi LGAs of Katsina State, killing no fewer than 15 persons.

The statement further added that Iliyasu pleaded for mercy, saying he has repented, and will never go into terrorism again if left off the hook.
