The Taraba and Benue State Governments have embarked on sensitisation tour to communities that will be affected by the demarcation of their common boundary by the National Boundaries Commission.
The exercise is part of steps to address the recurring Tiv-Jukun crisis.
It is almost one year since the renewed bloody clashes between the Tiv and Jukun ethnic groups in Benue and Taraba States.
The conflict between the two is about land ownership, and was triggered by cases of attacks and retaliations.
Th two states led by their Deputy Governors were once again on the roundtable for peace talks.
The sensitisation tour is being earmarked for four communities that will be affected directly by the border dermacation exercise expected to begin this month.
The traditional councils of the border communities, were also tasked on further sensitisation of their people on the upcoming demarcation exercise for peaceful coexistence.
Boundary demarcation exercise in the warring communities has in the past been truncated by crisis and security challenges.
