Bayelsa state governor douye diri has cleared the air on allegation of forgery in some quarters against his deputy, lawrence ewhrudjakpo.

Governor diri was reacting to questions from some newsmen in abuja on sunday.

He said contrary to reports that his deputy governor may be faced with a case similar to what prompted the verdict by the apex court to sack the APC candidate david lyon and his deputy.

This follows his alleged falsification of nysc exemption letter, his deputy has not in anyway submitted any fake document to INEC

He told newsmen that his party did  not sue the apc deputy governor for forgery rather they instituted a case of false information.

On his legal tussle with one of the PDP aspirants, Timi Alibe, governor Diri said the party is working out reconciliation moves, but appealed to alibe to sheath his sword and join hands with the PDP government to develop Bayelsa state.

The APC has however filed an application at the supreme court to review its verdict, that sacked its candidate and his deputy less than 24 hours to their inauguration day.

Meanwhile, the deputy governor Lawrence ewhrudjakpor says the national youth service corps, NYSC has admitted that it erred on the issuance of his certificate in 1998.

The deputy governor’s claim came on the heels of an Abuja area court order, directing the department of state services, DSS to investigate the allegation of NYSC certificate forgery levelled against him by the bayelsa state APC chieftain, Benjamin youdiowei.

Briefing the media in Abuja through his legal representative, Clement kekemeke, the deputy governor explains that the nysc had already acknowledged its error on the issuance of the certificate.

Ewrudjakpor also notes that the move by the APC chieftain will be baseless before the law.

As at the time of filing this report, ait’s enquiries on the nysc acknowledgement of its error in respect of the claim made by the deputy governor on the certificate forgery were not successful
