48 year old Adekola arrested for defiling a minor

48 year old Adekola Adeshina has been arrested by men of the Nigeria Police for defiling a ten-year-old girl, Faith Solomon in a community behind the Prince and Princess Estate in Abuja.

This is contained in a statement signed by the FCT Police Command Public Relations officer Josephine Adeh which confirmed that Operatives of The Federal Capital Territory Police Command attached to the Apo Divisional Police Headquarters received a complaint from one Rose Solomon of behind Prince & Princess Estate in Abuja.

The statement explains that she was suspecting her neighbor, Adekola Adeshina, a 48-year-old male, of sexually engaging her 10-year-old daughter, Faith Solomon.

The statement says the suspect, after being arrested and interrogated, voluntarily confessed in a written statement to having carried out the dastardly act several times with the little girl.

The 10-year-old Faith Solomon is currently undergoing a medical examination at a facility in Abuja.

The Commissioner of Police FCT Command Sadiq Idris Abubakar wishes to call on parents and guardians to pay attention to changes in the behavioral pattern of their wards around individuals and ensure that measures are put in place to shield them against sexual crimes.

Meanwhile, the suspect is being remanded in Police custody and will be charged in court upon the conclusion of the investigation.

The Commissioner of Police equally enjoins members of the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious movements in their area to relevant authorities for quick action.
