Cross River State Governor, Professor Ben Ayade, says digital agriculture remains the only means the government at every level can reduce the increasing unemployment rate in Nigeria.
Ayade stated this while speaking in Lagos on Saturday night where he received an award as the Best Governor of the Year 2019 in Agro-Industry by the Independent Newspapers.
The Governor said young graduates would only want to involve in smart agriculture that would turnaround the economy which according to him, is what Cross River State is doing presently.
He called on all state the governments to emulate Cross River in agro-industrialization which is turning around the state for better, gradually.
Governor Ayade was among the five governors that received the Independent Newspapers Awards in different categories for their sterling performances in different sectors.
