Hundreds of PDP supporters in rivers state on Monday besieged the INEC head office in Port Harcourt to protest and raise alarm over the alleged attempts by some political parties to overturn the result of the 2023 general elections in the state through the back door
Addressing journalists, the protesters want INEC to ensure that no political party is allowed to inspect electoral materials alone.
They insist that all the political parties must carry out the inspection jointly.
The protesters came from all the twenty local government areas of Rivers State
The supporters trooped out in their numbers to register their protest with the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and to also draw the attention of the world to what they say are attempts by some political parties to over turn the outcome of the 2023 General Elections in the state through the back door.

The PDP won the 2023 general elections in rivers.
The party on February 25 also won all three senatorial seats and nine out of the eleven federal House Of Representatives seats.
The party repeated the feat on march 18 when it won the governorship election and all the 32 house of assembly seats on offer.
With some political parties preparing to contest the outcome of the elections at the tribunals; the PDP is insisting that all the electoral materials must be jointly inspected by all the political parties
