Nasarawa State records 5 suspected Coronavirus cases

The Nasarawa State government says there are five suspected cases of Coronavirus in the state.

The State Commissioner for Health, Ayuba Bala, confirmed this while briefing reporters in Lafia, the state capital, stating that five members of a family in Keffi Local Government Area who came from Ogun State, have been quarantined at the Federal Medical Centre, Keffi for monitoring.

Bala said samples of their blood have been taken to Abuja for test, awaiting final outcome of results.

The Commissioner said the cases are not yet confirmed cases of Coronavirus, noting that the government is on top of the situation.

Bala advised people of the state to remain calm and not panic as more awareness is created and the government is doing its best to contain the spread of COVID-19 in the state.
