Gombe State finally sets up Coronavirus Task Force

Gombe State Government has ordered the closure of all educational institutions in the state from Tuesday, March 23, 2020.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya handed down the directive in a statewide broadcast on the Coronavirus pandemic while setting up a task force to monitor and advise the government.

The Governor said the government would adopt enlightenment as part of the preventive measures against Coronavirus that has already spread to six states of the federation including the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The Task Force set up by the State Government is led by a medical practitioner with terms of reference.

One of the immediate challenges of the Task Force will be the provision of preventive equipment for medical personnel and test kits in the state.
