The Presidency has formally confirmed that President Muhammadu Buhari indeed tested for Coronavirus and the result was negative.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina who confirmed this said the outcome of the result calls for rejoicing over the Coronavirus status of the President.

He noted that even the index case in Nigeria recovered and has been discharged, adding that God that has shown the country mercy thus far will continue to show that mercy.
The Presidential Spokesman explained that the weekly Federal Executive Council was cancelled due to the number of those that attend the meeting which exceeds the recommended number of 50 people in any given location at this time.
He said the Council was suspended because of the size that have over 50 people seated in the Council Chambers whenever the meeting holds.
On the present situation of things in the Presidential Villa, Adesina said things are a bit on a low key but it does not mean that the State House is shut down.
On the reported media ban from the State House, the media aide said it is a conspiracy theory because there is no ban.
He said what happened is that the press gallery has about 108 journalists in the hall and it goes contrary to the spirit of the times.
Asked if there was need for Nigerians to panic at a time like this, the Presidential Spokesman said: “Panic will not be the right thing to do because when you panic you are bound to make mistakes. When you panic you get agitated and the situation does not call for that, rather it calls for cooperation with government”.
