NAF donates food palliatives in Bauchi and Bayelsa States

The special operations command of the Nigerian Airforce in Bauchi State have provided succour for 200 vulnerable persons, as part of it’s corporate social responsibility to host communities.

Making donations to 2 communities, the Nigerian Airforce said, the gesture is to support the fight against coronavirus in Nigeria.

The coronavirus pandemic is gaining more grounds across the country and shutting economic activities in most states.

Officers and men of the special operations command in Bauchi were at Gwalanga and durum villages to distribute the food items to 200 households.

Similarly, the Nigerian Airforce officers wives association also distributed food items to poor people living in Gubi area of Bauchi.

Meanwhile, in line with the initiative of the Nigerian  Airforce under the leadership of the chief of air staff, air marshal Sadique Abubakar to reduce the hardship occasioned by the ravaging coronavirus in the country, over 180 households in two communities in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa state capital have received 25 kilogram bag of rice and other staple food items each from the Nigerian Airforce.

The officer commanding mobility command Nigerian Airforce, Air Marshal Ibukun Ojeyemi who presented the food donations to the beneficiaries on behalf of the chief of air staff, reiterated that the gesture is part of the armed forces resolution to complement the efforts of the federal and state governments to alleviate the economic challenges caused by the COVID-19 lockdown.

Before they were seated for the distribution exercise of food items.

The palliative are part of activities adopted to mark the 56th anniversary of the Nigerian Airforce.

In another mission to complement the efforts of the Nigerian Airforce in reducing the hardship caused by the coronavirus, the Nigerian Airforce officer’s wives association under the leadership of the national president Hafsat Sadique Abubakar also donated food items to residents of Igbogene community.

The beneficiaries who are grateful to the Nigerian Airforce for the food donation also want good spirited Nigerians and other government agencies to provide succour to vulnerable Nigerians at this time when the states are on lockdown.
