An Akure Magistrate Court has remanded 4 suspects at Owo Correctional Centre over the killing of Olufunke Olakunri, daughter of the leader of Afenifere, Reuben Fasoranti .
The suspects, who are standing trial for the murder of Olakunri in July 2019 on the Ore-Ijebu-Ode Expressway, had the Covid-19 test conducted on them by officials of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, before being taken to the Correctional Centre.

The 4 accused persons were arraigned on a 3-count charge of felony, conspiracy to murder and kidnapping.
At the hearing of the case, the Magistrate Victoria Bob-Manuel, ordered the suspects to be remanded at the correctional centre, pending legal advice from the State Directorate of Public Prosecution.
She said the Magistrate Court lacks jurisdiction to hear the case.
The 4 suspects, who had no legal representation in court, however pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The case has been adjourned till the 5th of June, 2020.
