Nigerian Troops rescue 10 kidnap victims, seize terrorists’ ammunition in Zamfara State

Troops of the Joint Task Force, Northwest Of Operation Hadarin Daji have rescued Ten kidnap victims after destroying several camps belonging to notorious bandits’ leader, Bello Turji, and recovered ammunition.

The troops were said to have conducted clearance operations last Saturday from Magarya to the Dutsi general area of Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State where it discovered and cleared bandits’ hideouts located in Keta, Gidan Galadima, Modawa, Mazuma, and Dutsi villages.

A reliable source said troops had engaged the terrorists in a gun battle at Keta and Dutsi camp belonging to Bello Turji.

It, however, overpowered the terrorists who fled into the bush and abandoned 10 kidnapped victims which the troops rescued.

High caliber warfare items were also recovered from the terrorists.

Bello Turji is a terrorist warlord who lives in the Fakai forest in the Shinkafi local government area of Zamfara State, Northwest Nigeria.

His terrorists group has been unleashing terror on innocent people of Shinkafi, Zurmi, and Birnin Magaji LGAs of Zamfara, Sabon Birnin and Isah LGAs of Sokoto, and some parts of Katsina States all in the Northwest Zone for several years.

Bello Turji is one of the terrorists leaders that the Nigerian Military had last year declared wanted.
