President Muhammadu Buhari has prayed for God to comfort renowned scholar, Professor Ralph Akinfeleye and his family at the trying period of grief with the death of his wife of many years, Carol Anike Akinfeleye.

The President in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina condoled with family, friends and associates of Mrs. Akinfeleye, whose good work he says will continue to speak, particularly about the many lives she touched with her trademark charity, kindness and love.

As the family prepares for the final rites of the deceased, who was the Yeye Gbekonuyi of Idanre Kingdom in Ondo State, former school Principal and one-time Director of Education in Lagos State, the President urges full trust in the Almighty God for strength and direction.
President Buhari prays that God will grant the departed wife and mother a peaceful rest.
