The Supreme Court is to deliver judgment on 26th of May in the suit filed by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP seeking the disqualification of the All Progressives Congress, APC Presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, and his vice, Kashim Shettima, in the February 25 election.
The PDP had initiated the case at the Federal high court and lost while the court of appeal also dismissed their appeal.

The PDP had challenged the validity of the Tinubu/Shettima ticket for the 2023 presidential election on the ground that the ticket had no validly nominated running mate. Justice Inyang Ekwo who handled the case at the lower court had dismissed the action on the ground that the PDP lacked the required status to initiate the case, a judgment upheld by the Court of Appeal.
