Cross River State Governor, Professor Ben Ayade says there were no political persecutions under his eight-year tenure of office.
Governor Ayade said this during the valedictory state executive council session in Calabar, as he prepares to leave office on May 29.
He said history will record his achievements as the state chief executive.

Ayade commended members of his cabinet for what he described as their contributions and sacrifices to serve Cross River State, which he also said was responsible for the transformation the state witnessed in the last eight years.
He said all executive members will continue in office until handover day.
Some members of the outgoing State Executive Council, including Head of Service Stella Odey, became emotional as they commended Governor Ayade for giving them the opportunity to serve their state.
Governor Ayade equally thanked the people of the state for considering him worthy to serve two four-year terms.
