Tanzanian President, John Magufuli has ordered the field to be opened for all sporting events with effect from June 1, 2020.

The President said sports is compulsory for people to be physically fit.

The Tanzanian leader told his countrymen and women that available literature indicates immunity improves when people come together. But If you lockdown such immunity may reduce by 30 percent.

He however leaves the arrangements for spectatorship, to his Health and Sports Ministers for the sake of keeping physical distancing during the transition period.
