Baptist Conference Eulogizes Dokpesi, Advocates Use Of Bicycle To Address Transportation Problems

The Nigerian Baptist Convention has eulogized the Founder and Chairman Emeritus of Daar Communications PLC, High Chief Raymond Aleogho Dokpesi, describing him as a true Nigerian who has impacted countless lives in his lifetime through his broadcast brand, AIT, Raypower FM and Faaji FM which completely changed the one way direction of broadcasting in Nigeria.

The President of the Convention, Israel Akanji disclosed this in Ilorin the Kwara State capital during a 4-day retreat of 37 conference Presidents across the country with the theme ”Spirituality and administration.

While describing the death of High Chief Raymond Dokpesi as a rude shock, the President of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, Reverend Israel Akanji and other clergymen say the dogged steps of the father of Private broadcasting changed the one way traffic of old broadcasting in the country.

They also called on the federal government to allow the full privatization of the nation’s security sector like it was done in the broadcast and telecommunications sector with a view to enhancing the security of lives and Property.

On the removal of fuel subsidy, the clergymen advocate the use of bicycles and light walking by Nigerians to minimize the cost of purchasing fuel.

The recent developments in the country according to the clergymen should be to the advantage of Nigerians.
