Benue Governor inaugurates committees on assets recovery and varsity

Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia has inaugurated two Assets Recovery Committees and a fact-finding panel to the Benue State University Makurdi.

According to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Tersoo Kula, one of the assets recovery committees will work at the state level and be headed by Hingah Biam, while the other will focus on the Local Government level chaired by Jude Tyo.

The committees are, among other things, mandated to ascertain all assets of the government including lands, vehicles, houses, furniture and
other machinery.

Similarly, the Governor has inaugurated Fact Finding Committee for the Benue State University, BSU headed by Paul Biam.

Membership of the committees includes:

STATE ASSETS

  1. Hingah Biem – Chairman
  2. Joe Abaagu
  3. Dennis Akura
  4. Ioryue Yajir
  5. Peter Egbodo
  6. Joseph Ojobo
  7. Jonathan Modi
  8. Shaageer Matins
  9. Yuhe Jerome
  10. Tom Uja
  11. Tormbuwua Terlumun – Member Secretary.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT ASSETS

  1. Jude Tyo – Chairman
  2. Aondowase Apera
  3. Kwaghgba Amande
  4. Richard Dzungweve
  5. Anthony Sende
  6. Olofu Ogwuche
  7. Terver Kachina
  8. Nick Eworo – Member Secretary.

Both committees will have representatives from;

  1. Department of State Security
  2. The Police
  3. The Military
  4. Nigeria Civil Defence Corps.

  3. Terkimbi Ikyange
  4. Eugene Aleigba
