The State Directors of Security Service have reiterated the need for better-working synergy among the relevant security agencies towards addressing the security challenges affecting the North East subregion and other parts of the country.
The call was made during the Eleventh Conference of State Directors of Security held in Bauchi State, northeast Nigeria
The North East is one of the geopolitical zones in Nigeria, mostly affected by the various forms of security challenges and terrorism, which has affected the economic growth and development of the zone.
This ugly trend informed the decision of the Directors Of Security to converge on Bauchi State to identify, discuss and adopt some modalities, that would improve and guarantee security architecture of the zone.

At the event, the Bauchi State governor, represented by the Secretary To The State Government, Barrister Ibrahim Kashim, commended the security agencies for ensuring the state is secured, despite its being surrounded by security-prone states, and assured of the state government’s support in that direction.
Other speakers at the one-day zonal meeting described the event as apt and commendable, given its importance to the general security and economic growth of the subregion.
