The Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor, Tuesday met with the Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah at the Government House, Enugu.
General Irabor is the first top military officer to pay a courtesy visit to the new Governor since assumption of office on May 29, 2023.
The Army General commended Governor Peter Mbah for the bold steps taken to tackle insecurity in the State, assuring the Governor of necessary support and collaboration.
Governor Peter Mbah expressed the appreciation of the government and people of Enugu State for the interest of the Chief of Defence Staff in the security of the State.

He says his administration was enjoying a good working relationship with the military and other security agencies in the State.
The Governor assures that his administration will ensure a peaceful environment in order for businesses to thrive in the area.
Top military officers including the General Officer Commanding 82 Division of the Nigeria Army, Enugu, Major General Chinade Aminu accompanied the Chief of Defence Staff on the visit.
