The former Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom is currently in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Makurdi, following an invitation.
Sources close to the Commission say Ortom arrived at the Makurdi zonal office of the anti-graft agency, located at Alor Gordon Street, on Tuesday morning.
It was gathered that the former governor was invited to be questioned concerning an ongoing investigation into alleged financial misappropriation during his tenure in office.

The spokesperson for the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren could not be reached concerning the development as at the time of filling this report.
