Nigeria’s Vice President Kashim Shettima on Wednesday held a closed-door meeting with the British high commissioner to Nigeria, Richard Montgomery who was at the Presidential villa on courtesy visit.
Montgomery who briefed state house correspondents after meeting the vice President says their discussion focuses on the long-standing partnership between Nigeria and the united kingdom, especially in the areas of development, corporation, defense, education, health, and how to further improve the relationship of both countries.
Montgomery says as he discussed with the vice President, the big economic decision of President Tinubu’s Administration have been notice around the world.

On the issue of students bringing their dependants to the united kingdom, Montgomery says it is the responsibility of the UK to manage migration in and out of the country just as Nigerian government does to its country’s borders.
Montgomery hoped to play his part to boost trade and investment as there are great potentials to improve on during the economic dialogue between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
