Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma has inaugurated an implementation Committee for the take off of the University of Agriculture and Environmental Science.
The University, sited at Umuagwo, Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of the state.according to the governor is designed to encourage the people to emphasize food sufficiency.
Senator Uzodinma said a team of Professors, led by Ukachukwu Awuzie is saddled with the duty of designing the template for a smooth transition of the Polytechnic into a University.
While inaugurating the Committee at the Government House Owerri, Governor Uzodinma stated that the institution would attain academic excellence in all ramifications.
Chairman of the Committee, Professor Ukachukwu Awusie promised that the committee members would put their wealth of experience to bear in the discharge of their duties.
Some members of the host communities were elated at the government’s gesture and assured of the safety of the facilities.
The stakeholders, on behalf of the communities pledged their total support to the government of Governor Uzodimma to enable it achieve the desired success.
