Motorists and commuters plying the trans-Niger Delta federal road have expressed worry due to danger and increasing accidents along the Bayelsa state axis caused by failed portions of the road.
The East-West road is a federal government project awarded during the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo in 2006.
14-years later most parts of the road especially the Bayelsa State axis is in deplorable state despite the billions of naira that was approved for its completion.

The situation has become even worse especially with the coming of the rainy season as some of the travellers count their losses.They therefore appeal to the Federal government for necessary repairs to make lives meaningful for them.
The East-West road which is expected to be a dual carriageway runs through states in the Niger Delta region including Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, and Cross Rivers States.
