The Kaduna State Government has amended the Quarantine Order to permit a significant reopening of the State after 10 weeks of lockdown to fight the Coronavirus pandemic.
Governor Nasir El-Rufai who stated this in a statewide broadcast says working hours will now be between 9am and 3pm.
According to the Governor, churches and mosques services are allowed only on Sundays and Fridays for the time being subject to compliance with the safety guidelines on Covid-19.
El-rufai said supermarkets as well as hotels can fully open but with their restaurants and bars offering only room services.
The Governor said it is still considered unsafe for markets and schools to reopen as the State will continue to engage relevant stakeholders on the matter to determine the appropriate timing for reopening.
