Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong has granted absolute pardon to seven prisoners.
The Governor said he took the decision after due consultation with the state advisory council on the prerogative of mercy and in the spirit of Democracy day celebration.

He urges all Plateau citizens to put the interest of the peace and stability of the state above personal, religious and political sentiments, as the nation marks twenty-one years of the return to democratic governance
