Christian faithful in Kaduna State have expressed gratitude to God for the relaxation order by the state government which now allows religious activities to hold due to lockdown following the coronavirus pandemic.
The Christians who trooped in their numbers to their respective churches said they have missed the opportunity of praying together.
It is more than two months since places of worship were closed due to the outbreak of COVID-19.
But the statewide broadcast by the Kaduna State government which allowed religious activities to commence on the ground that there is strict adherence to guidelines on COVID-19 has elicited some excitement.
For the first time in 80 days, worshippers met at the entrance of Churches where water, liquid soap, and alcohol-based sanitizers, were used and ushers stationed to take the body temperature of worshippers and ensure the compulsory use of face mask.
The worshippers said the lockdown has exposed how much they miss congregational worship.
