Following the recent bandits attacks on Yantumaki and Kadisau villages both in Danmusa and Faskari local government areas of Katsina State, concerned residents have called on President Muhammad Buhari to sack all service chiefs and give power to governors to be commander in chief of security agencies in their respective states.

The essence according to the residents, is to give way for new chiefs to inject vibrant ideas on ways to ending insecurities currently witnessed in the country especially the northeast and the Northwest regions.

The recent resurgence of bandit attacks on some communities in Katsina state gave rise to some forms of protests by youths in those areas and have become a source of worry to many people in the state especially as the farming season sets in.

from the attacks witnessed in Kadisau community in Faskari area council where scores of persons were killed, including the murder of the district head of Yantumaki Atiku Abubakar, to the kidnap of a health worker and his daughter in Danmusa area council and the recent murder of FAFU village head Dikko usman at Mazoji in Matazu area council.

The people are disturbed especially about the killings and the collapse of the peace deal with the bandits.

They  suggested ways to ending the banditry, apart from the recent deployment of special forces, they also called for the sacking of all service chiefs as well as empowering the state governors to be commanders in chief of security agencies in their respective states.

with the submissions of the concerned residents, end to banditry may be in sight soon if all suggestions are put into action by the federal government.
