The National Handball Premier League for male and female categories has kicked off in Benin City the Edo state capital with teams from across the country participating.
The event which started on Sunday saw Delta force defeat their counterpart from Imo state twenty-five to twenty.

Rima Queens from Sokoto also won their first game, the team from the northern part of the country defeat Bayelsa Queens from the oil-rich Niger Delta 32 to 24, while the seasider babes lost to the defender Babes of civil defense.
25 to 29 and plateau peakcocks defeated Bendel Dynamos 23 to 22.
