The Minister of Power, Sale Mamman, has announced the appointment of a new Managing Director for the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading, PLC.
He is Nnaemeka Eweluka, the company’s General Counsel and Secretary.
Eweluka is to succeed Marilyn Amobi, as substantive Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, while the former MD is to handover and proceed on his terminal leave with immediate effect.
The New MD/CEO who is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitration, is also a specialist on privatization and legal energy reforms.

President Muhammadu Buhari had earlier approved the recommendation leading to the appointment but what is not clear is how the appointment will take effect as the Nigeria Bulk Trader NBET has been transferred by the President to the Ministry of Finance.
