Nine people have so far been rescued from the collapse of a four-storey hotel building in Dape, Life Camp, Abuja where more than 20 persons were reportedly trapped in the rubble.

Director-General of FCT Emergency Management Agency, FEMA, Abass Idriss confirmed the rescue of the nine people. The affected hotel building with an underground is said to be owned by Summit Villa Hotel Services.
As at the time of this report, joint rescue operations were ongoing to save more persons trapped in the rubble.
