The National Youth Service Corps, (NYSC), has reiterated its commitment to map out strategies to improve the quality of the scheme’s performance, in fostering peace and unity for national development.
The Director General of the Scheme, Yusha’u Ahmad, said this at the 2023 Batch ‘B’ Pre-Orientation Course Workshop in Kaduna, Northwest Nigeria, With the theme, “Repositioning the NYSC Orientation Course, in the Post-Golden Jubilee Era, for Effective National Service.”
General Ahmad said the scheme will continue to strive towards the transformation of graduate youths, to be self-reliant after their service year.

Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, commended the scheme for mentoring and nurturing youths to be self-reliant in the current economic challenges, stating his readiness to support corps members deployed to the state, with quality accommodation, and good welfare packages.
The DG of NYSC appealed to the Federal Government and relevant stakeholders, to continue supporting the scheme for its sustenance.
