Cross River State governor, Senator Bassey Otu, says he’s returning the state into the hands of God to redirect the affairs of the state for peace, security and transformation of Cross River.
Otu who spoke during an inter-denominational solemn Assembly with the theme “Heal our Land, Oh Lord!” held at the Calabar International Convention Centre,said he has handed over the state’s affairs into God’s hand.
The Governor who warned his political appointees that they are lucky among many, said he will not hesitate to sack any of them who misuses power and uses it to oppress the people.
He called on the People of the state to be patient promising that his government will prioritize his development agenda.

Organizers of the event, Bishop Emma Isong and wife of the Governor of Cross River State, Eyonawan Bassey Otu said the solemn assembly is to join hands with religious leaders in building a prosperous Cross River State.
Traditional rulers led by the Obong of Calabar and Clerics at the event offered prayers for the state, the local government, the legislature, and the judiciary as well as Nigeria and the President.
