The Men of the Nigerian army have been charged with maintaining a high level of professionalism in the discharge of their duties.
This was the farewell message of the outgoing general officer commanding 3 Division of the Nigerian Army, Major General Abdulsalami Bagudu, as he handed over command of the division and the special task force operation Safe Haven after five months.
That brief ceremony marks the end of an era and the dawn of another, as Maj. General Abdulsalami Bagudu steps down as the general officer commanding 3 Division, Maxwell Khobe Cantonment Rukuba, handing over to Major General Abdusalam Abubakar. Earlier, while delivering his valedictory message to the commanders and troops of the division, Gen. The new GOC of the division, General Abdusalam Abubakar, while wishing his predecessor all the best in his future endeavors, tasked officers and men of the division to brace up for the work ahead.
A similar ceremony was later held at the headquarters of the special task force’s Operation Safe Haven.
