Ahead of his planned defection from the All Progressives Congress, APC, to the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, the Ondo State Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi, was on Saturday night stopped by security agents from moving his property out of the Government House.
The Deputy Governor with some of his aides were at the Government House to move his personal property out, ahead of his planned defection this week but were stopped.
The security agents were said to have asked Ajayi to come back on Sunday in broad day light, under the supervision of government officials.

Meanwhile, a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, Segun Ajiboye, said the Governor commended the security agents whose vigilance prevented the carting away of government property from the Government House.
