No fewer than 3 persons are feared dead in fresh attacks by bandits on Maikawama village of Dandume Local Government Area of Katsina State.

Local sources who confirmed the incident to AIT said the bandits launched the attacks early hours on Monday.

The bandits in the raid killed at least 3 persons and rustled unspecified number of cows.

The attack on Maikawama came less than 24 hours after bandits abducted one local, Alhaji Kabiru in neighbouring Kurmin Chakara village.

No response yet from the Katsina State Police Command.

Katsina, which is the home state of President Muhammadu Buhari, has become a hotbed of bandit attacks in recent time.

The latest attacks came barely a week after a high powered delegation of the Federal Government met with the Governor and Chief Security Officer of the State, Aminu Masari with a view to find lasting solutions to the security challenge.
