A Factional National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Victor Giadom has asked the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) not to recognise the “Direct Party Primary”, holding in Edo State.
Gaidom statement is contained in a letter addressed to INEC National Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu.
Giadom asked INEC not to pay any attention to the exercise; describing it as illegal and an exercise in futility.
He called on the electoral body not to waste its resources and time monitoring the primary; pointing out that the party under his leadership will inform it about a new date for the exercise.
