The Katsina State Government has confirmed the murder of the village head of Dabaibayawa, in Batagarawa Local Government Area, Muhammed Ahmed.
It was gathered that the village head was abducted and subsequently murdered, due to his connivance with terrorists in the area.
According to a source in the area, the deceased collaborated with the terrorists by securing bail for them, whenever they were arrested for crimes committed.
The State Government has therefore set up a committee led by the Deputy Governor, Faruq Jobe, with mandate to investigate the inhuman act and fish out the culprits.

The committee, which has two weeks to submit its report, has the representatives of the Nigerian Police Force, Department of State Services, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, the Ministries of Justice, Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, and the Katsina Emirate Council as members.
