Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu has met with wives of the 36 State Governors in her office at the Presidential Villa Abuja, where she formally introduced the objectives and mission of her pet project, Renewed Hope Initiative, (RHI).
The First Lady congratulated the wives of the Governors and reminded them of the promises made during the build-up to the 2023 general elections which brought their husbands to office.
She expressed her desire of working with the wives of the State Governors in her Renewed Hope Initiative to reach every nook and cranny of the country noting that this can best be done collectively for better and more sustainable impact.


Tinubu assured the Governors’ wives that, the Renewed Hope Initiative will in no way interfer with their personal programmes and projects and that she believes that support from them will be impactful.
Speaking with State House correspondents after the meeting, wife of Kwara State Governor, Ambassador Olufolake Abdulrazak, assured of the willingness and commitment of the wives of the Governors to support the Renewed Hope Initiative promising to elect zonal coordinators that will champion and take the initiative to the grassroots.
She also assures the First Lady that the Renewed Hope Initiative will not in any way affect individual projects in their various states but instead complement their efforts.
